Abderrazak Elbouchikhi (Zak)

Hi, I'm Zak

Abderrazak Elbouchikhi (Zak). Endpoint engineer, based in Colorado.

I've spent more than 20 years in end-user computing, and I write ZakitPro so the fixes I find at work don't stay in my notes. Most of my days involve Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, SCCM and PowerShell, and lately a fair amount of Microsoft 365 Copilot.

How I got here

I started in Casablanca in 2002, answering customers at Atento Morocco. In 2005 I moved to IT support at Dell, and spent five years supporting users there.

From 2011 to 2016 I was a systems administrator at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey, where I also earned an associate's degree in Computer Information Systems. That's where VDI and SCCM became my daily work. I then worked as a desktop engineer at Neovia Logistics and at HMS, where Intune entered the picture.

Since 2021 I've worked in enterprise endpoint engineering at a large healthcare-technology company, on endpoint and virtual desktop platforms. Along the way I finished a Master's in IT Project Management at Western Governors University (2022).

What I work on

  • Endpoint management with Intune, Autopilot, SCCM/MECM and Ivanti EPM, including app packaging for Windows and macOS
  • Virtual desktops on Citrix, VMware Horizon and Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Automation with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph and Entra app registrations, including bulk device operations across 16,000+ devices
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot and agents that take repetitive admin work off my plate

I speak English, French and Arabic. I don't list certifications here because I don't have any listed on my profile; the guides have to earn trust on their own.
